Respite Care and Services
We all need a little help every now and then. That’s why respite services can be a valuable resource to long-term caregivers who need a break. Caregivers can take some time off for themselves to rest and enjoy personal activities, while their loved ones get the daily assistance they need from an attentive and caring staff.
Respite benefits short-term community members by providing new opportunities for socialization and activities, as well as a change of scenery. Our person-centered care approach ensures that all community members feel valued and that they have a say in their daily life.
Planning Respite Care
When planning for respite care, it’s important to involve your loved one in the decision-making process. Explain how they will benefit from socialization and activities, while getting help with their activities of daily living. It’s OK to tell them that you could use a break and that it will help you be a better caregiver once you’ve had some time to relax. Then decide together how much time you will be away.
Our team completes an assessment of every community member to determine their needs and what services we will be providing. On move-in day, our staff welcomes the new guest with a reassuring smile and anything they need to be comfortable with their stay.
